Tiredness is one of the most common health problems people have today. There are so many natural ways to get more energy that you don’t need energy drinks or supplements that give you more energy. Tiredness is the body’s way of “screaming” for some natural health. Here are five easy ways to get more energy from nature.
1. Practice Deep Breathing and Mind-Body Exercises.
Try taking deep breaths.
Part of the reason why exercise makes us feel better is that it gets oxygen to all parts of the body. Meditation, deep breathing exercises, and mind-body exercises like yoga, Pilates, and tai chi can give you more energy and help you relax.
2. Eat Fresh Food
Have you ever heard “dead” or “alive” used to describe food? Alive foods are whole foods, mostly fruits, vegetables, and other fresh foods, that give our bodies the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. Foods that have been processed or packaged and have no nutritional value are called “dead foods.” Crackers, chips, cookies, sweets, and sweeteners are all examples. These foods have a lot of sugar, salt, or simple sugars.
3. Reduce Technological Stress
Lessen the stress of technology
Do you ever feel tired after sitting in front of a computer for a long time? If so, you’re not alone. When people use technology from morning to night, they often feel drained. Getting more energy is easy if you take a break from technology and go for a walk or spend time in nature. This lets your mind and body relax.
Less time spent on technology before bed can also help you sleep better. The Suprachiasmatic Nucleus (SNC), which is above the optical nerves, is the body’s “master clock.” It sends information to the brain. When it gets dark, your body makes the hormone melatonin, which makes you feel sleepy. Light works the same way. When the body senses light, it sends out hormones that make it start to wake up. So, the light that technology gives off makes the brain think it’s daytime instead of nighttime.
4. Move More, Sit Less
Less sitting, more moving.
Even if you don’t believe it, sitting is hard work. Sitting in front of a computer is not an exciting thing to do. If you don’t move much, you should. Even if you already work out, it’s important to move your body, whether it’s for three 10-minute walks or one 30-minute walk. You can do a quick lap around the building or inside it, go for a walk during your lunch break, or try some desk stretches. Outside of this midday movement, if you’re working out hard but still feeling tired, it could be a sign that your workouts are too hard or that you’re overtraining.
5. Don’t Drink As Much Caffeine
People who don’t have enough energy often drink too much caffeine. The fact that caffeine gives you more energy is a sign that you should drink less caffeine. This doesn’t mean you should give up caffeine completely, but it does mean you should drink it less often. People who drink too much caffeine may have trouble sleeping, which can also make them feel tired. The National Sleep Foundation says that you shouldn’t have more than 250mg of caffeine per day, which is about the same as drinking 2.5 regular coffees.
